2012 Update Craigslist and Backpage

Over the years I've used Craigslist as a form of free advertising and it worked well for me. Posting ads including a link to one of my articles, blogs or websites helped me attract new visitors and to recruit new members but over the past couple of years Craigslist has made it difficult to post in many of their categories. Users are now limited to what categories they can post ads for free but overall using Craigslist weekly does help attract viewers to your articles, blogs and websites. I now post ads weekly to the community category because it's free and it works.

Backpage Free Classified Ads

I believe Backpage is the second largest classified website on the web. It works just like Craigslist and it's free to post ads in different categories. There is a little more freedom at Backpage too.

Backpage offers an Affiliate Program too and has banners and links available to use. When you do join the Affiliate Program make sure you print out the W9 Form for tax purposes because when you do earn 10 % commission from sales Backpage will send you a check. I had $110.00 in my account for a long time and could not figure out why Backpage would not send my commissions until I took the time to read the fine print and realized that I needed to either mail or Fax the W9 Form to receive payment.

((( Craigslist Is Huge )))

It's true, if you can master craigslist you are well on your way to the big league.

Absolutely True -- Absolutely True -- Absolutely True

I wanted the above text to catch your eye. From my experience the statement above is a fact. I have finally mastered craigslist and my earnings have skyrocketed.

Since 2007 or so I started to use Craigslist to advertise my Blogs and Websites. I was lucky enough to create a few accounts and used Craigslist a few times a week. I would get about 25 ads per week onto Craigslist and was very proud of that. I never post in inappropriate categories. It's not worth it because you usually get your ad Flagged anyway.

In 2009 I finally purchased two books online to learn how to get massive ads onto Craigslist. Wow, I could not believe all of the tips and tricks to use to get massive ads onto Craigslist. I wish I purchased the two online books years ago. I would have saved so much of my valuable time. Anyway, I am now a Craigslist Master and I am someone who gets hundreds of ads posted each week at Craigslist.

I'm a webmaster and I create Blogs, Hubs and Website in my spare time. All of a sudden I had so many URLs to promote. Between my Hubs, Blogs and Websites I must have about 400 URLs (updated June, 2010). I worked hard writing online to generate the extra income I desired BUT simply creating articles and Blogs alone does not bring in the real money. What brings in the big bucks is to promote all of the work you created which brings you increase visitors which gives you more of an opportunity to make a sale or to increase your income with Google Adsense.

Purchasing information to learn how to master Craigslist will be a huge benefit to your online success. Don't forget about Backpage.

Backpage is becoming a huge and very popular Classified Website. It works almost the same way as Craigslist. I feel Backpage is more user friendly.

Dear Mailxpress,

You have a lot of good advice! I just recently decided to try craigslist to sell some equipment, but I didn't realize the possibilities of using it to advertise. Thanks for your helpful info!
