Methods & Techniques To Help With Better SEO

I understand article writers all have their own way of writing online for a chance to earn revenue however; in this article I'm going to describe my writing methods/techniques I use to get my articles indexed to the search engines, increase the chances of a higher page rank and how receiving a higher page rank helps increase traffic to my articles.

Speaking About Hubs

Before I speak about four SEO methods/techniques I put to practice, I want to point out to writers who write Hubs using the Hubpage Platform. This is something I wish I did from the start but because I made the mistake not following a Hubbers advice, I now understand how important this is.

When you write a Hub using the Hubpage platform and when you want to link the Hub URL to your blog, website or to another Hub, you should definitely use the "Link To This Page" URL. Let me explain.

After you write then publish your article, you want to scroll down to the bottom of the article's page and click on "Link To This Page" link. A box will pop up showing you "Paste the URL or HTML from below into your website, blog, email, comment, or Hub" and show you an already created HTML Code for you to simply copy and paste into your blog or website is you choose.

The reason why you should use the "Link To This Page" URLs is to keep track of traffic AND to make sure if a visitor who is reading your Hub decides to join Hubpages, you will receive the referral and getting referrals helps you earn additional revenue.

Content Straight From The Hubpages Help Area:

The program works like this: you'll give people you know a specially-encoded link to a page on HubPages. If they click on that link and sign up within 30 days, and before they click on someone else's specially-encoded link, then you'll enjoy 10% of their lifetime impressions automatically. That 10% comes out of our share, not theirs; they will earn 60% of impressions whether they sign up through you or not.

Don't make the same mistake I did. I should have dozens of referrals writing and I should be earning the extra 10% but I did not understand when I first started. Now I do understand and now have a few people writing Hubs and I now earn that extra 10% revenue.

Creating A Summary

Adding a summary to a Hub helps with SEO too. A summary simply is a "META TAG" description. It's a brief summary of your Hubs topic. Lets say you do a search at google and when the search results are shown, you usually see a couple of sentences that describe what the Hub, article, blog or website is about. Just like with creating a website, a website has a "META TAG" description and a "META TAG" keywords. The "META TAG" description and keywords are used by the search engine robots to scan over your content to decide what category, keyword or phrase your Hub should be indexed. Take the time to create a short summary because it does matter.

Adding Videos To Better SEO

Adding videos too can help your Hubs get indexed to search engines with a high page rank. For example, I created videos to post on this Hub to show people proven techniques to help create a more solid Hub to increase the chances of receiving a higher page rank within the search engines. The videos topics speak specifically about using the Hubpages platform to write articles and to teach people what features Hubpages has to offer. I'm increasing the odds of my Hub being found and getting indexed to the major search engines and at the same time I am promoting my YouTube channel.

Doing A Keyword Search

Keywords/Tags/Labels

Some platforms use the word Keywords, some platforms use the word Tags and blogger uses the word Labels. Three different words but they all have the same definition.

Sparing the few minutes to do a keyword search before you start to write helps to better an articles SEO page rank position. Choosing either high paying keywords OR choosing to use the most searched for keywords and using those keywords within your articles content does help with SEO. Search engines are attracted to articles, blogs and websites that actually use keyword/tags within it's content.

Tip: Overuse of keywords is not advisable but using them at least once throughout your articles content does matter.

Keywords and Phrases Should Be Used Within The Title Of An Article.

When you take the time to do a keyword and phrase, try to use a few of the keywords or phrase within your articles Title because the Title becomes a part of your URL. When it comes time for search engines robots to spider your articles content, the robots will notice that the Title, URL, Keywords and Phrases match the content of the article.

Adding and Linking Images

ADDING IMAGES DOES HELP BETTER SEO!

Another something I did not do when I first started to write articles was adding images linked to other articles I wrote. Adding images to an article that is linked to a article speaking about the same topic or a different aspect of the topic, helps with SEO (search engine optimization). Search engines are attracted to articles, blogs and websites that have links linked to them that have relevancy to each other. Doing this increases your articles chances of being indexed to the search engines and increases the chances of receiving a higher page rank. Receiving a higher page rank, over time increases traffic to your article.

Tip: When saving an image to your computer for use on your articles, save the image and give the image a unique name. The image you see here on this article, I saved it to my computer and gave it the name "Keyword Generator". I believe naming each image to fit the topic of content also helps with SEO.

Learning Is Half The Battle

In my opinion, learning is half the battle when it comes to earning money online. I'm proof that writing articles about different topics does eventually turn into residual/passive income.

I made many mistakes and have gotten frustrated trying to learn how to earn good steady income online but because I never gave up, writing online is now a part of my daily routine. It's now second nature to me and do see my Internet Writing Business as my full-time future career. My Internet Business now brings in good steady income and because it does I now work part-time instead of full-time at a job. Reaching your goals does help you achieve your dreams.
